Halsey. A strong but vulnerable woman.

Halsey.

Her real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane.

She gained attention from self-released music on social media platforms and released her debut EP, Room 93.

Halsey has now three studio albums: Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, Badlands and Manic. In total, Halsey has sold over one million albums and has been streamed over six billion times in the United States. All three of her studio albums have been supported by a headlining tour. I think one of my favorite her songs is “11 minutes”.  It’s a collaboration with YUNGBLUD and goes like a single without any album.

Halsey’s achievements.

Halsey is noted for her distinctive singing voice. Her awards and nominations include four Billboard Music Awards, one American Music Award, one GLAAD Media Award, three Guinness World Records, an MTV Video Music Award and two Grammy Award nominations. Outside of her career, she has been involved in suicide prevention awareness, sexual assault victim advocacy and racial justice protests.

Halsey

Life is a difficult thing.

But it’s only one side of her life. Before she became famous, she’d struggled a lot. She had a really complicated youth. Even after getting known, people tried to use her and lied to her. To know more, you can just watch her speech from Women march in 2018 (https://youtu.be/4ziB5YGElo4). She is a hero. I can’t even imagine how strong you have to be: she went on stage and performed after having a miscarriage (https://youtu.be/sncDtok7LRE).

Halsey

I haven’t been to any of her concerts. But I want to attend one. Her concerts are known for the crazy energy, and everyone should definitely see her famous microphone flip.

Halsey is my idol. She inspires me every day. I cry, dance, smile, work while listening to her songs. The range of genres in her music lets everyone find a song for your current mood. She definitely worth listening to.

YUNGBLUD. A guy with a big heart.

YUNGBLUD.

YUNGBLUD, his real name is Dominic Harrison, is a young singer, songwriter and actor from Doncaster, England. After releasing „Tin Pan Boy” and „Falling Skies” from Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why Soundtrack for Season 2 he began to gain popularity. He’s always on the road. The tour ends and the new one begins. This person has a lot of energy and desire to create. He wants to be heard. And I’m so glad, that now he’s really famous among teenagers who listen to good music.

YUNGBLUD

YUNGBLUD’s concerts.

I’ve been to two YUNGBLUD’s concerts. Both of them were in Poland, Warsaw. The first one was on the venue with capacity of 300 people, the next one attended already about 1000 people. He’s really grown up and now more and more people hear him and understand him. When I was there the first time, he was standing at the entrance and shaking hands everyone, who entered. The concert was so little and warm, I was at the front row, and literally it felt like there was no barrier between us. The way he wants to communicate with his fans is something I’ve never seen before. He was outside before the concert and after too. The second one was huger, but except the amount of people, nothing really has changed, except feeling even more energy from the people around me.

YUNGBLUD

The way he is blinded by music and performing, the way he is dedicated to his fans. I’m so proud that our world has people like him. He’s a young performer (he’s only 22), and he writes about really important problems of our generation (“Polygraph eyes”, “Tin Pan Boy”). I hope in the future he’ll have even more bigger audience, and his concerts will be even more bigger. I’m very proud that I’ve become his fan so early.

Coldplay. The biggest concert in my life.

Coldplay

To say that it was one of the best nights in my life means almost not to say anything. I’ve bought the tickets 9 months before the Coldplay’s concert. At the day of the concert I couldn’t believe that it would be in the evening. It was 2017 and I was young, and I was grateful to my parents that they were giving me such opportunities to go to another country to make my dreams come true.

Coldplay

Concert

It was unreal in the truest sense of this word. From the worming up till the very end. I couldn’t even understand that I would attend the Coldplay’s concert with 70000 viewers, the whole PGE Narodowy. Just imagine the whole stadium is singing along with the group. No videos or photos would never show what had been happening there. The mess of shouting, singing, jumping, dancing, happiness, light, confetti, lights, euphoria. You forget about all your problems; you’re just listening to the beautiful music, singing with Chris (the lead vocalist of Coldplay), jumping as high as you can, you just you and nothing else. You don’t care about anything or anyone enjoying these two hours. You don’t notice how 120 minutes pass by like one moment. And what was the view! A thousands of lights shining with all of the colours, the huge stage, it was more like the dream, but not the truth.

Every time I close my eyes and remember that day, I see Chris, running at the stage, talking about world piece and asking everyone to sing even louder. I see myself in glitter from my head to toe. I see my happy friend.  I see my dad filming videos for my mum. And still don’t realize how big is this concert. Everything was thought over very carefully right up to every minute, fireworks, lights, bracelets.

Such emotional shakes are very important in our lives. And I’m happy that I have such an opportunity to feel it.

Bastille. Their history and concert experience

Bastille

I want to tell about one band. Bastille. The people because of whom I began to be into music. It was 2011 and since then they are in my heart.

There are four people in a band: Dan, Wood, Will and Kyle. Dan is a vocalist and frontman. Basically he writes almost all the lyrics and music. Also he has a really special and rare kind of the voice. Actually it was the reason, why I began to listen to them. I fell in love with his voice at once and forever. In 2011 they had only one album and I was listening to it 24/7. Bad blood. Now they’ve recorded two more: Wild World and Doom Days. In every album’s title, as you can see, there are two words, which begin with the same letter. Also every album has its own conception and idea.

Bastille’s concerts

I have been to three their concerts and got so many memories and emotions from there, that are still in my mind. The first one was in 2016, then 2017 and 2019. And every time was like the first time. I know them like my very good old friends. The first concert was in Warsaw and there was an autograph session, so I could see them just in front of me. Me and my friend had the time of our lives that day. But then in 2017 in Minsk was a great opportunity to meet and talk to them face to face. The third time was not really a long time ago again in Warsaw, and it’s still in my mind.

Bastille

Now I can’t imagine my life without their music. It’s a band, who gave me a lot of new friends. The band, who helped me at the worst times in my life. The band, who was with me at the happiest part of my life.

Music, music, music and even more music

Music is the best thing in the world. It can save lives.

You can express everything with the help of it. Music is something to relax, to dance, to sing, to talk, to sleep, to live, to grind, to trip, to help, to hurt, to dream, to hide, to hate, to love, to learn.

I decided to connect my life with music long time ago. I’m not talking about making or playing music.

My concerts

I’ve been at least at 30+ concerts. I can’t describe the feelings I get standing on the dancefloor or sitting on the tribune during the performance. Maybe it’s happiness. I get so many positive emotions while waiting in the queue and talking to so many people, during warming up, after the concerts when everything ends. But euphoria I get during the main performance is incomparable.

I love concerts, there I feel alive, I feel myself, it’s my safe-place. But after some time I understood that it’s not enough for me. I want more. I want to be a part of this system. Due to my character I’m not afraid of taking responsibility. So that’s why right now I live in Poznan, study in UAM, took that course, and writing this text.

My future profession

I want to be a concert organizer. It’s not going about money or career. It’s all about surrounding myself with interesting and talented people. I’ve talked a little with my favourite artists and it was unforgettable experience. I fully understand that this profession is not only concerts and having fun, it’s a hard work. It’s a lot of documents, papers, contracts, problems in relationships with people you work with. But I think the result is worth it. When the day X comes, you see the artists, you see the venue, all the happy fans, the perfect performance (probably), people singing together, afterconcert jimmy. That’s what I was born for. And that’s what I’ll live for, I’ll try to bring a lot of joy to this world full of sadness.
